Education & Qualifications: I served as Director (1999-2003) to represent people in E. Palo Alto & fight wasteful government spending. I only partly accomplished those goals & again ask for your vote.
Since 2003, I've closely followed District affairs and CalPers’ role in Page Mill’s assault on EPA’s Rent Stabilization Ordinance, because social justice, fire safety & the environment are part of my life.
Putting into practice at a friend's home in La Honda, CA what I learned about fire safe landscaping during the making of "The Cannonball Express", (www.canonbal.org) a video about suburban forest fires, fire safety and the environment, I cleared brush, planted native grasses & created defensible space, to stop a forest fire from racing uphill through oak woodlands.
So, I'll again block Board member interference in wild lands firefighting practices that raises the chances of accidental death on the fire line. I'll enjoy working with the Chief, the architect and new colleagues on the Board, for the incorporation of electrical grid independence and public access features in Station II on University Avenue. I look forward to continuing a proud Kennedy family tradition of safety, education, public service & skilled administration.
